September has always been a very busy month for us here at TOURtech, but this year it was unprecedented. Between 9/1 and 9/30, we provided connectivity at over 20 different events (26 to be exact), and most of them were overlapping each other!
We kicked off the month getting ready for the World Equestrian Games at Tryon International Equestrian Center in Mill Springs, NC. The network on this job was massive, and it was actually a temporary extension of a new permanent network our team installed there over the summer that included numerous coverage areas built specifically for the games.
While that was happening, we had crews deploying other temporary networks and handling connectivity at St. Louis Beer Fest, Borderland Music Festival, iHeartRadio Music Festival, 88 Rising, six different locations for the Lions of Justice Festival, Global Citizen Festival, Austin City Limits, a Draft Kings event, and some others that we can’t even tell you about.
It was also a huge month for our UR Connected 4G packages, with a majority of our rental inventory being shipped to small events all around the country.
“Just from a gear and logistics standpoint, there aren’t many event IT services companies that can come close to handling that type of volume,” says Chad Tyson, TOURtech Director of Operations. “Then you add our amazing crews and the support staff at the Roundrock HQ in Raleigh into the mix, and there is nothing we can’t handle!”
The icing on the cake for us during such a busy month, are the fantastic comments we receive from our satisfied clients:
“I just wanted to say thank you for all your help and support – your team and TOURtech delivered one of the best media networks I’ve ever seen at an event. It made a huge difference to the media and one less thing to worry about! “
If there is one important take away from this month, it’s this: Call us early to secure TOURtech for your next September event. We’ve already started booking for 2019!
