Girl Scouts Make Learning Technology a Fun, Hands-on Experience

The North Carolina Coastal Pines Chapter of the Girl Scouts held their 2019 Cookie Rally on Saturday, January 5th, and as you can see from the photos below, their mobile office is loaded with technology!

TOURtech COO, Shannon Cook, was on hand for the event with her daughter Paige (a member of Troop 776), and says the truck is just one example of how the Girl Scouts make learning tech a fun, hands-on experience as part of their STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

Cook has been a co-leader of Girl Scout Troop 776 in the past and helped with their community service project in 2018, and TOURtech is a sponsor of the troop each year.  Their annual Cookie Drive officially begins on Saturday, January 12th.  All of your favorite cookies are in the lineup again this year (Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Savanah Smiles, S’mores, Thanks-a-lots, Do-si-dos), along with the new Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie.  If you would like to stock up (and help Paige hit her cookie sales goal), email
