TOURtech To Provide Event WiFi and Internet for Charity Esports Championship in Durham

A big charity Esports event will be held in Durham, NC next month, and TOURtech is proud to be a part of it!

We will be providing Event WiFi and internet for the Triangle Esports Championship (TEC) on Sunday, February 10th at the Durham Armory, and it all directly benefits the community.  Proceeds from the event will go to help fund digital inclusion and literacy efforts offered by the Triangle Literacy Council and Kramden Institute.

“While the Triangle is known worldwide as a technology hub, tens of thousands of students and their families here still struggle to use and access technology to enhance their education and future aspirations. By partnering together, TLC and Kramden have helped thousands across the area become digitally literate, employable, and equipped with the technology tools and training they need to succeed in school and at work, to find economic opportunity, and to help their communities flourish.” –

TEC 2019 will also serve as a showcase for the Triangle as an emerging Esports and gaming hotspot, and is expected to bring together thousands of gamers and Esports enthusiasts not only at the venue, but also via online streaming platforms like Twitch and YouTube.

“Out of all the amazing, cool events we get to be a part of, this one is the one my son is most excited about,” said TOURtech COO Shannon Cook.  “We are thrilled to support the success of TEC, which will be benefiting some great local charities.”
