“Do the job, plus a little bit more.”
Our Fearless Leader. Since its inception in 2003, Allen Cook has positioned TOURtech as the defacto standard for event IT. As an expert in event technology, he is always looking ahead to the future of the industry.
With 27+ years of experience including an academic background in Technical Theater and early career experience as a Lighting Designer with Merv Griffin Event Productions, he saw an unmet market need to provide temporary networking services to touring organizations.
Allen was tapped for his first major touring IT role on Phil Collins’ First Final Farewell Tour in 2004 and his system racks have since toured the world with dozens of artists. From there, he built a name (as TOURtech) on the production side of temporary networking, as well as on the consumer side with mobile Wi-Fi services for special events of all sizes and industries. His relentless drive to advance the state of the art continues…

Travis Banks has been working in the production industry for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience when it comes to live events. He has produced concerts, festivals, political rallies, corporate events, and various sporting events, plus he spent 8 years on the road touring both in the United States and internationally.
His previous positions include audio engineer, production manager, IT Director, video engineer, and lighting technician, and in November 2018 he moved to Raleigh with his wife and 2 kids to join the TOURtech team as our Director of Technical Operations.
Jill joins the TOURtech team as a recent grad from Meredith College. She graduated with a degree in Business Administration and minor in Human Resources. When she’s not working, she enjoys riding her horse, going to concerts, and spending the day out on the lake with family.
Bunky joined TOURtech in 2013 as a project manager tasked with tracking, managing, and optimizing TOURtech client projects. Raised in Georgia, Bunky went to Valdosta State University to study communications, where he was selected to be part of a special academic group studying non-verbal communication, and received a BA in Public Speaking.
He has been working in entertainment-based special events since 2010. Bunky loves to learn, which makes him a valuable part of the TOURtech Team.

David Carpenter had an early career as a drummer in the successful early 90’s shoegaze band Blueshift Signal. When it was time to face the real world David turned his attention toward building a successful career as a Client Manager with some of the largest Banks in America. His musical background, love of all things media and passion for client interaction lead David to later join the world of Production as a Client and Production Quality Manager.
Over the last decade David has built a successful worldwide dealer sales network for one of the largest aftermarket motorcycle accessory companies (yup, another passion) and revisited many of his former financial services clients in order to populate their internal IT teams with the right people. You may have even seen David on TV or heard his voice in your favorite commercial since he took up acting and voice overs as a weekend hobby. Along the way David has remained a trusted adviser and asset to his clients across all verticals.

Nina first started working festivals as a teenage volunteer for the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, TN. She began her professional career as a software developer, then transitioned to building furniture and installing exhibits for museums and art exhibitions, and finally ended up finding her way back to her first love: Festivals! She joins the TOURtech Team as a festival veteran with over six years of experience in managing event networks from bid to teardown, and everything in between.
If there is a ferris wheel at a festival, Nina always tries to ride it at least once during sunset. Seeing the crowd having a great time, finding community through music, and being a part of that magic makes her swell with pride in a super-cheesy way!
Annie is originally from a small town in Western New York called Cassadaga with only 700 residents. She’s slowly been moving down the east coast and has lived in several different cities, including Princeton, NJ, Alexandria, VA, and Washington, DC. She loves Raleigh because it’s a city with a small town feel. In her free time, Annie enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, playing volleyball, and spending time with friends. She loves working at TOURtech because of the close-knit employee focused atmosphere, positive environment, and all the dogs!
