“Do the job, plus a little bit more.”
Our Fearless Leader. Since its inception in 2003, Allen Cook has positioned TOURtech as the defacto standard for event IT. As an expert in event technology, he is always looking ahead to the future of the industry.
With 27+ years of experience including an academic background in Technical Theater and early career experience as a Lighting Designer with Merv Griffin Event Productions, he saw an unmet market need to provide temporary networking services to touring organizations.
Allen was tapped for his first major touring IT role on Phil Collins’ First Final Farewell Tour in 2004 and his system racks have since toured the world with dozens of artists. From there, he built a name (as TOURtech) on the production side of temporary networking, as well as on the consumer side with mobile Wi-Fi services for special events of all sizes and industries. His relentless drive to advance the state of the art continues…

Shannon brings a unique combination of theatrical production experience and business acumen to the TOURtech family. Her background in strategic human resources and assisting small and mid-sized companies with their growth positions her well to shape our future vision.
Never one to shy away from pitching in to get the job done, she believes in doing things because it’s the right thing to do, not because you have to do it. Her famous cookies have been enjoyed by many on tour or onsite at an event.

Greg began his career in live event production at the tender age of 18 producing concerts on the campus of Cal State Fullerton and eventually touring with some of the top artists from the 80’s and 90’s. Greg’s focus shifted in 2011 from entertaining guests to creating safer and more secure environments for those same guests. Greg was the first person to deploy wireless surveillance systems at music festivals in the US and continues to push the limits of available technologies to provide a safer and more enjoyable guest experience.

David Carpenter had an early career as a drummer in the successful early 90’s shoegaze band Blueshift Signal. When it was time to face the real world David turned his attention toward building a successful career as a Client Manager with some of the largest Banks in America. His musical background, love of all things media and passion for client interaction lead David to later join the world of Production as a Client and Production Quality Manager.
Over the last decade David has built a successful worldwide dealer sales network for one of the largest aftermarket motorcycle accessory companies (yup, another passion) and revisited many of his former financial services clients in order to populate their internal IT teams with the right people. You may have even seen David on TV or heard his voice in your favorite commercial since he took up acting and voice overs as a weekend hobby. Along the way David has remained a trusted adviser and asset to his clients across all verticals.
“Empathy coupled with honesty and experience is how to best serve relationships.”
Nina first started working festivals as a teenage volunteer for the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, TN. She began her professional career as a software developer, then transitioned to building furniture and installing exhibits for museums and art exhibitions, and finally ended up finding her way back to her first love: Festivals! She joins the TOURtech Team as a festival veteran with over six years of experience in managing event networks from bid to teardown, and everything in between.
If there is a ferris wheel at a festival, Nina always tries to ride it at least once during sunset. Seeing the crowd having a great time, finding community through music, and being a part of that magic makes her swell with pride in a super-cheesy way!
Evan spent a decade in the higher education/corporate IT and the AV world before making the transition into live event production. He has a passion for creative problem solving and getting “stuff” done, or GSD, his personal mantra.
Having worked at Front Gate Tickets in the past, Evan has been involved in a variety of events: Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, Electric Daisy Carnival, Governor’s Ball, Electric Forest, Ottawa Blues Fest, LA Auto Show, and X Games, among many others.
Evan keeps a close eye on emerging technologies and is always looking for the latest, game changing tech trends that could influence future work.

“In the long run, slower is almost always faster.”
It’s difficult to pin down when Lars caught the event production bug. At the tender age of 16, he accidentally agreed to stage manage a 13-hour music festival, dove face-first into the madness, and strangely never regretted it.
Lars’ brief but lucrative career in advertising sales allowed him to found an AV company and spend the next 7 years producing events and multitrack recordings. Since then he’s performed in many roles—artist, producer, security, lighting designer, web developer, documentarian, audio engineer. The winding road eventually led to IT roles at major domestic festivals like Bonnaroo and Life is Beautiful, international festivals Field Trip and Boots & Hearts, and finally to TOURtech.
His lifelong love of all things technical also encompasses permaculture, classical guitar, trim carpentry, survival camping, and cat psychology. His absolute favorite thing in life is a brutally honest conversation.
