Our Fearless Leader. Since its inception in 2003, Allen Cook has positioned TOURtech as the defacto standard for event IT. As an expert in event technology, he is always looking ahead to the future of the industry.
With 27+ years of experience including an academic background in Technical Theater and early career experience as a Lighting Designer with Merv Griffin Event Productions, he saw an unmet market need to provide temporary networking services to touring organizations.
Allen was tapped for his first major touring IT role on Phil Collins’ First Final Farewell Tour in 2004 and his system racks have since toured the world with dozens of artists. From there, he built a name (as TOURtech) on the production side of temporary networking, as well as on the consumer side with mobile Wi-Fi services for special events of all sizes and industries. His relentless drive to advance the state of the art continues…

Shannon brings a unique combination of theatrical production experience and business acumen to the TOURtech family. Her background in strategic human resources and assisting small and mid-sized companies with their growth positions her well to shape our future vision.
Never one to shy away from pitching in to get the job done, she believes in doing things because it’s the right thing to do, not because you have to do it. Her famous cookies have been enjoyed by many on tour or onsite at an event.

Rollinson has been thinking about creating and delivering technology solutions for live events around the world since 2006 and has had ties with TOURtech since the early days of the company. He says, “One day I was a regular Wi-Fi engineer, the next I was an Event Wi-Fi Engineer. It was at Latitude Festival in England and the local telco couldn’t connect the box office. The first, but by no means the last, critical problem we would solve using wireless technology.”

CEO & Founder Allen Cook credits Rollinson with playing an instrumental role in developing many of the systems and processes that put TOURtech on the map, some of which are still in place today. In addition to his technical know-how, Jeremy also has a deep understanding of sponsorship side of the event industry, which is just one of the many new areas that TOURtech will be focusing on in the years to come.

Chad Tyson’s 18+ years of experience in the Radio & Events industries, along with his 5 years military background, bring a unique spectrum of talents to the TOURtech roster.
Coming to us from iHeartMedia, Tyson’s event experience ranges from concept to execution, from small promotions to large-scale shows.

Carrie is a recent graduate of Meredith College with a major in Business Administration and a minor in Human Resource Management. After completing several internships in the event industry, she is excited to further help make client’s events successful. As a native of Wilmington, North Carolina, Carrie loves to spend her time outdoors, especially at the beach. If you’re lucky, one day you might be able to taste one of her many delicious desserts like her homemade brownies or cookie bars.

Travis Banks has been working in the production industry for over 20 years and has a wealth of experience when it comes to live events. He has produced concerts, festivals, political rallies, corporate events, and various sporting events, plus he spent 8 years on the road touring both in the United States and internationally.
His previous positions include audio engineer, production manager, IT Director, video engineer, and lighting technician, and in November 2018 he moved to Raleigh with his wife and 2 kids to join the TOURtech team as our new Technical Operations Manager.
Bunky joined TOURtech in 2013 as a project manager tasked with tracking, managing, and optimizing TOURtech client projects. Raised in Georgia, Bunky went to Valdosta State University to study communications, where he was selected to be part of a special academic group studying non-verbal communication, and received a BA in Public Speaking.
He has been working in entertainment-based special events since 2010. Bunky loves to learn, which makes him a valuable part of the TOURtech Team.

Keith Myers grew up in Maryland near Washington, DC, and got his degree in Communications at the University of Maryland. The past 15 years or so, he has worked in the hospitality industry, specializing in everything from hotel room sales, to events, catering, meeting space rental, A/V, and more. He has a passion for great service, and knack for building relationships with clients. He currently lives in Holly Springs with his two greatest loves; his wife Nancy, and daughter Alessandra.
Nina first started working festivals as a teenage volunteer for the Beale Street Music Festival in Memphis, TN. She began her professional career as a software developer, then transitioned to building furniture and installing exhibits for museums and art exhibitions, and finally ended up finding her way back to her first love: Festivals! She joins the TOURtech Team as a festival veteran with over six years of experience in managing event networks from bid to teardown, and everything in between.
If there is a ferris wheel at a festival, Nina always tries to ride it at least once during sunset. Seeing the crowd having a great time, finding community through music, and being a part of that magic makes her swell with pride in a super-cheesy way!
Evan spent a decade in the higher education/corporate IT and the AV world before making the transition into live event production. He has a passion for creative problem solving and getting “stuff” done, or GSD, his personal mantra.
Having worked at Front Gate Tickets in the past, Evan has been involved in a variety of events: Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, Electric Daisy Carnival, Governor’s Ball, Electric Forest, Ottawa Blues Fest, LA Auto Show, and X Games, among many others.
Evan keeps a close eye on emerging technologies and is always looking for the latest, game changing tech trends that could influence future work.

Paul started working in the Event IT industry with TOURtech in 2014, and since has filled the roles of Crew Chief, Network Engineer, driver, and everything in between. Before TOURtech, he spent 10 years in the Coast Guard, where he achieved the rank of E-6 and developed a passion for climbing towers and working on communication/navigation systems.
He loves being on the road and has worked (or attended) just about every music festival you can think of! In his downtime, Paul loves spending time with his kids, listening to music, and snowboarding or surfing. He is also self-proclaimed “Trivia Expert.”
Paul is always willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done and has a vast amount of on-site experience. In 2017, he joined the TOURtech staff team as our first Mid-Market Specialist.

Hans has extensive experience in the networking, lighting, and audio fields. After over a year in the field for TOURtech, he relocated from Los Angeles to join the TOURtech team at HQ in Raleigh. Hans always has a smile on his face and brings a wonderful energy to the office with the motivation to get things done!

Jake joins the TOURtech team as a recent grad from the University of North Carolina Wilmington Computer Science program. He has a passion for technology and creating everything from software to web development, and also loves audio engineering. He is a hobbyist music producer and fellow festival goer, avid gamer, and Netflix binger who, ironically, enjoys exercise as much as sitting on the couch!
Kurt Yana comes to TOURtech with over a decade of experience in Audio Engineering, Stage Management, Scenic and Decor, Operations, Project Management, Surveillance, CCTV, and IT Infrastructure Development. He couples his production experience with a background as a Managed Service Provider in the Boulder Colorado area where he managed the IT infrastructure for a variety of medical practices.

Tack comes from a family of Touring and Event professionals. He grew up watching Events get built, and has seen first-hand how they have changed over the years. He knew from a young age, that he would one day work in this vast and ever changing industry.
After 11 years in the Event Industry, Tack brings a wide range of expertise to TOURtech. Having a history with Production Management, Operations, Logistics, and Temporary Networks gives him the ability to not only know what works and what doesn’t, but allows him to always be thinking of “Outside of the Box” solutions.
He has played a role in the success of many diverse types of events, from Coachella in the desert of California, to the Winter X Games in the chilly Aspen mountains. Tack also brings with him a history of working internationally, from British Colombia, Canada to Mexico City and Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Grant has been fixing computers and connecting people to the internet since he was a small child. He received an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Cleveland State University and quickly discovered an interest in communication networks. After moving to the Bay Area, Grant became an active volunteer with Sudo Mesh and helped them develop open-source mesh network technologies and teach networking skills to community members. Prior to joining the TOURtech team, he was introduced to the event industry while working as the technical advisor for a neighborhood puppet show in Oakland, CA.
Grant loves traveling and finds great enjoyment in building things with others, making him the perfect addition to TOURtech!
Chris started out in the event industry when he was 16 years old taking tickets for SFX Entertainment. Through the years he has worked for Clear Channel Entertainment and Live Nation, helping produce shows at multiple venues through the Carolina’s and South East Region.
James brings over 15 years of shipping and receiving experience to the TOURtech team, along with a wealth of knowledge about fiber installation from his time with AT&T. When he’s not in the warehouse getting gear ready for the next show, he enjoys reading, visiting historic sites, and playing tennis.
